Ice and freezing rains caused crashes across the area which included two that led to closures of two major Northern Westchester roadways on Tuesday, Dec. 17.

Route 121 was closed for several hours between Titicus Road and June Road in North Salem due to a car crash with injuries and downed wires. Both lanes reopened at around 11:15 a.m., state police said.

In Pound Ridge, Route 124 was closed due to a crash north of Stone Hill Road. 

Police also closed Salem Road from the town line to Route 137 due to heavy ice. 

State police are reminding drivers to use caution as they respond to numerous crashes throughout the area.
